London and Paris based Finnish designer Heikki Salonen has crafted a collection titled Deadstock, at the intersection of his multivariate experiences, past, present and future. Launched initially in 2009 as part of the Fashion East schedule in London, the brand was temporarily discontinued in 2012 in order to allow Salonen to serve as the Head Designer and the Design Director for two major fashion houses. Whilst still continuing his post at a prestigious Paris based label, Salonen decided to return to his roots in London and revive the Heikki Salonen brand.Heikki Salonen Deadstock is not about suggesting an ideal look, instead it is about creating juxtaposition with each piece.
